The Leaves

Fall growing up,

we mostly looked down;

leaves shuffling around.

The colors of our coat

matched the colors blowing

as the wind chilled before snowing.

Somehow the wrapping circles of

the wind would play under our feet.

Captivated for a while it was an autumn treat .

Autumn

A glow of autumn,

a welcomed day.

The spring birds are leaving.

The hummingbirds have lingered ,

but only for a moment

and they will leave.

My one majestic oak tree,

strengthens itself as she knows.

She will soon shed her dress

after the brilliant ball of Fall.

Come gently autumn,

be kind to all who celebrates you.

As winter will take its turn

the world will barely take notice .

Women Who Run Whenever

Eliza Strong

Run with the angels Eliza,

we will never forget.

The strength of your will,

the power of your step.

We will continue to run,

with the spirit of all who knew.

Why you slipped on your shoes

out for a morning renew.

Run  with the Angels Eliza,

we will push forward for you.

All the runners behind you,

will continue to tie up our 👟 shoes.

(Dedicated to :  Eliza Fletcher who lost her life recently just out for a run.)

Eucalyptus

Magenta red

Turns her head giving life

Her pollen sprouts

Golden and shouts

A procreating strife.

Starry Run

I climbed out of my car after tying my shoes.

I look up to see the crescent white moon hanging

among the stars as if a guest .

It is often the moon is the host, but not this morning.

I stand erect to set my watch and phone for the run.

I also set my mind, as it is surely the mind set

that begins the run…

Then I look across the darkness , and ‘oh no,’

A furry black skunk’s white stripe reflects the night shadows.

I turn and go the other way…

A run past history

A moment of reflections

Time goes on

We strive for perfections .
