A tortured soul
An end summarized
By dark streets and alleys
His eagerness to please
He continued to write
And lost his soul
On a darkest night .

A full blue moon
Hangs just outside
The starts near by
All will hide
Behind the blue moon…
A chilly blustery day as I warm myself
in front of early morning fire.
The dark mornings and quiet house
lends me to reflect.
We are in tumult times of discord,
turmoil and a horrible virus.
My prayer is somehow this changes
and we wake in early morning healed.

The little goblins have left their mark
their ghastly decor glows in the dark
They are prepared for the spooky nights,
witches and ghost and lots of frights.
The purple haze glows all about,
cider brews until it is stout
Soon the long waiting will abate
days grow shorter, darkness stays late.
So walk among the Halloween’s play
Come and see but do not stay.
It is meant to make you scared
for all the ‘trick or treats’ who dare.

Tom Sawyer would be proud
Of the curiosity he shows
His wonder and discovery
A small rock he throws
Standing an looking
He thinks once more,
To collect another rock and
throws off to distant shore.

I heard an owl outside my window
Breaking dark and morning flight
Then another answers soon after
Together harmony hooting quiet
A leaf is heard falling softly
Autumn speaks a gentle sound
Lagging song bird breaks the silence
And I am the only one around
Rustic red donned the tree tops
Top to bottom as they fall
Sweet farewell for winters coming
Leaving the trunk standing tall

Nature is rowdy this morning
