Apple Farm

The old red barn

Has lost some charm

The bare cupboards

sound alarm .

As the day of plenty

Is now in the past

The smell of yesterday

Somehow still last

Handkerchiefs are gone

Crochet by hand

The tiny baskets

No longer stand

The apples still ripen

And the pears still fall

Mask are all worn

But not by all

Poets and artist

Will record this time

When people passed

And the need to be kind.

A Hero Has Passed

Autumn Ritual

The fire is lit

The fall has come

The days grow short

At the setting sun

The witches howl

The children play

Sweaters are worn

For the chilly days

Time will rearrange

As seasons show off

The colors change

Running

I thought of all the places

I thought of many paces

over the years I ran

In hopes i always can

It has been me

My constant …

Our Moment

I was trying to run the hill

When stopped by waiting still

was a lovely deer curious of me.

And I looked closely to see,

the beauty of nature, a sight

a pause , and then took flight

Morning Rain

The moon wakes an early rain

The wind now sway with fall

I listen to the distant thunder

I listen to nature’s call…

Calming breeze crosses my face

And drops of rain keep gentle beats

Quiet darkness is broken with light

The blooms now permeate with sweet

Hope

Corn Moon

A short run under a full moon.

Foretelling of the Harvest Days

Fog and ghost in a purple haze

Winter chill will be here soon.

My Son and My Run

He laughs and sings

And dances on stage hoping to

Distract a world at rage .

Infinity

I walk among ancient sands

Yet walk as if it was new

The winds blow at my side

And I only think of you.
