On the road again and going to go strong 🏃‍♀️

Images

I ran this morning

On ice and snow

The trees glisten

The ice fairies glow

I hear the geese

Sound celebration

The storm is gone

Now jubilation

As I crunched

My shoes as I run

I looked up to see

A heart shaped sun

Embers

A Day to remember

In winter’s dark embers

With the cold at your feet.

A saint in the past

Made sure love would last

So now we give roses and sweets.

Barrenness season

Frigid reminder of loss

Mia

She came to be

She sits to know

Her purpose true

As she shall grow

Into a mistress

Of many hearts

She is her own…

New Years Day

Breaking trail

the first day.

The year is now

a different number.

A cold night

a restless slumber.

2021 even sounds

better than before .

So slowly we open,

now close the door.

Hand Me Downs

I was the one who they called the knee baby.

Not sure why , I am the one in the cap,

I stood as tall as the rest of my siblings.

I always had an impish smile; they said.

Worn out pants handed down by someone.

I never knew we were not rich.

My Grandparents never ‘let on.’

Looking in the Pages

Looking through pages

the freedom of the past.

Before the virus

came so fast.

It will be gone;

just hope and pray.

It won’t be long

we will see a new day.

Yuletide

Eve of Christmas

Time to pray

Time to say

A Yuletide
