Afternoon Tea

If ever there was a pleasure
that I would wish for thee.
It would be the solitude
of an afternoon tea.
I would bring the kettle
and a biscuit for you.
You would bring the tea
and we would begin to brew.
As we pour our cups
to the top of the brim.
We would take our ginger man
and laugh as it dips in.

The places I have been
And the places I have seen
Has been good for my soul
And washed me clean
Now

Missing the before,
realize it is my before.
I stop and dwell in time
no before and no after.
I am then in the presence
Of the universe.

Soulful Barn
A Robin with a staccato chirp sounds alarm
As a gray rabbit scurries across the road
Into a shabby white wash painted barn
Tattered with age and a yearning presence
…of the past

Stay

Morning make me a promise
be close with me today
wherever I go or wherever I stay.
I pray as I walk and hope you listen
as I deliver it all to you.
In your glistening morning,
the black shadows and magenta sun,
and Verdant fields wet with dew .
