Halloween
Is the night of ghost and goblins?
near as frightful as the days.
coming from the battled streets,
crying from the warrior’s haze.
Crisp the humid fallen golden,
tis moist and wetting dew.
Comes the flowing ghost and goblins.
hallooing from behind the stew.
Yet the truth be more the scarier
dying souls of sand pit graves.
Hence, we need to be more mindful.
battling through mayhem waves.
Yes, this season of the Hallow,
souls and saints remembered here.
While the innocent still living,
live within the streets of fear.
Pray the saints we beckon this,
a night of memory, night of fright.
Soon the only horror faced,
is just the tales of all hallows night.

Poe’s Legacy
As I read Poe’s Chagrin
Captured Raven mystic within
Dark night knocking and blows the wind.
The spooky shadow he does write
Among the eve of hallows fright
Years go by and he is gone
Yet his words this night belong
Quotes always the raven more
Among the dark hallows yore.

Demise

A tortured soul
An end summarized
By dark streets and alleys
And compromised.
His eagerness to please
He continued to write
And lost his soul
On a darkest night .

The Pumpkin

A magic orange, a pick’s delight,
An Autumn prize, a beautiful sight.
A lot of love was chosen that day
among the gourds and leaves and hay.
Which one to chose and take home
a prize that stands out alone.
Now it sits with lights adorned
Right next to the dish with candy corn.

All Hallow’s Eve
Witches and apples, fallen leaves and rot,
Has come to this the Hallow night of
full moon with goblins and steamy pots.
Shadows in night that pass among trees
of little costumes of scary ghost among
dressed up monsters of make believes…
An eve of frightening rituals
where all one’s fears are mimicked and mocked
with humor and timeless habituals.
So call on All Saints , who listen this night,
as the children grow tired from the cold dark streets,
and guard them home safely from the eve of fright.
