Looking in the Pages
Looking through pages
the freedom of the past.
Before the virus
came so fast.
It will be gone;
just hope and pray.
It won’t be long
we will see a new day.

Crescent Moon
The crescent moon
Shines just outside,
droplets of moon dust
Filters through ice crystals,
Frigid from late autumn.
We rise in hope as heavens
promise what we cannot.

A chilly blustery day as I warm myself
in front of early morning fire.
The dark mornings and quiet house
lends me to reflect.
We are in tumult times of discord,
turmoil and a horrible virus.
My prayer is somehow this changes
and we wake in early morning healed.

Autumn Ritual
The fire is lit
The fall has come
The days grow short
At the setting sun
The witches howl
The children play
Sweaters are worn
For the chilly days
Time will rearrange
As seasons show off
The colors change

Crescent Moon
Sometimes I feel like Heidi.
The moon and planets meet me,
chilly autumn air, crickets scream,
leaves are browning autumn seen.
Sliding into a Midwest home run
when leaves will fall against the sun .

Early Light
Light breaks into sound
Birds sing territorially
Soon drowned out by humanity.
