The Soul in Me
Do you ever see wild animals?
I ran in the middle of Alaska snow
As long as I ran I did not know
There were always a wild creature
Soon waiting for me .
It could have been a moose who looked
As I ran by and turned and took
Another way always seemed best
Among the snow and quiet unrest
A moose is kind but unafraid
And has chased after me, many a day
Then there were the large ravens flight
Who ran and skipped and flew in-spite
Of seeing me just ahead
and never reasoned never dread
A red fox came by once and peeked
Then on his way with his swift feet
Snow brown bear in the distance
Bison’s caught some resistance .
If you venture to go running in Alaska terrain
Be prepared for anything from snow to rain
